Stygian Sandray

The Stygian Sandray was discovered in the Blacksand Desert on Nivak Kolsar. It buries itself under the sand, leaving it’s head exposed so that it’s sonar can pick up movement from nearby prey. Once within range, the Sandray thrusts it’s stinger towards it’s prey, paralyzing it with venom. This venom softens bone and shell, aiding the Sandray in consuming it’s prey through it’s proboscis. Sandrays hunt in packs and have been known to use scare tactics to surround and corner larger prey.
